My name is Jos Fissering. I have over 14 years experience in the IT. When I started my career it was as a System Engineer for a managed service provider. There I was charged with virtualization, platform and backup. Then I saw all the repeating tasks, me and my team were doing. That’s when I thought, this could be better, and I was pulled into the scripting. Now I’m a Senior Automation Specialist, helping my current employer to make processes run more efficiently and faster by implementing my knowledge of automation.
For almost 8 years now I’ve been scripting in Powershell and on the side I’ve been experimenting with Python, YAML, jinja and a little bash.
Recently I went to the Powershell Conf Europe in Antwerp, Belgium. That’s where the idea of starting a blog took root. There were over 150 people sharing their idea’s, code and visions for the future of Powershell. It was my privilege to learn a lot from the attendees and it was also the other way around. I discovered that I had some insights that were not that common and could help some of the attendees with it.
I hope to continue that sharing of knowledge with this blog I started with a good friend of mine, Casper.
